20th Century and Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session

Phillips New York, one of the most significant auctions in the world, will be held on 19 May 2022 in two sessions, in the morning (at 10 a.m. EDT) and in the afternoon (2 p.m. EDT). Preview days for potential buyers to visit the artworks closely are from 30 April to 19 May.  

Phillips is one of the world's oldest and greatest auction houses with salerooms in the big cities of London, New York, Geneva, and Hong Kong. It focuses on selling and buying modern and contemporary works of art, design, jewels, watches, works on paper, photographs, and editions. In this upcoming auction, artworks from modern and contemporary artists like Cy Twombly, Gerhard Richter, Andy Warhol, Jim Dine, Richard Pettibone, David Hockney, Alexander Calder, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí, and Paul Klee are presented. 

Ali Banisadr is the only Iranian artist whose work will be presented in this auction.
