Green Space

I like to make paintings that are intimate, beautiful and enjoyable to see; paintings of green spaces, lovers and peaceful worlds. despite these attempts, I am continually trying to control shapes and forms form slipping into another abyss. there is a constant erosive struggle between us to control and liberate. Somehow, i think all things share this desire for fluidity and freedom, be it space, time, history, words or even my own memory they are all drawn to an eternal turbulence between beauty and the present situation.
