Portrait In Contemporary Aspect

Portrait has a long history in Iran’s art. Remaining portrait of historical and political figures of Qajar’s dynasty indicates this. In modern era portrait along with still life were the first favorite subjects for Iranian’s artist. The evolution of modern portrait base on social models and pay attention to their inner aspects and also artists attention to” memorial or symbolic code” of models or sketches all would have to give consideration. Nowadays in contemporary time also we can see this affection and desire for portrait in mature artists in new media such as Digi photo or even today’s video arts.
